Mary Dowell is the first Director of Global Community Relations at Johnson Controls. She joined the company in 1996, and has led the company’s community relations efforts for over ten years. Mary manages all company-wide community relations initiatives, including the Johnson Controls Foundation, company sponsorships, and the company’s global volunteer programs. Through her leadership, Mary has enhanced Johnson Controls’ community image and visibility for internal and external stakeholders around the world. She promotes and executes the company’s philanthropic goals and objectives to maximize Johnson Controls corporate citizenship, reputation, and leadership status. Mary has served as past president of Professional Dimensions, Ko-Thi Dance Company, and the Milwaukee Urban League. She co-chaired the TEMPO Leadership Summit, and is on the boards of After Breast Cancer Diagnosis (ABCD), Goodwill Industries of Southeastern WI, Marcus Center for the Performing Arts, Milwaukee Women Inc., VISIT Milwaukee, United Way Collaborative Fund and the Women’s Leadership Council. She is a founding member of Notable Women for UPAF.
