There is a lot to consider when building a house. You must hire an architect, calculate the cost breakdown, and even file for insurance. But before any of this can happen, you need to establish a solid foundation. You cannot choose to build your house on the sand. If you did, it would not have roots. If you built it in the steep cliffs of Ireland, the foundation might be exposed to harsh weather conditions. If you chose to build it in the marsh, you would have trouble laying the necessary footing. Without a doubt, it is all about the foundation.
This course should act as the foundation for your dream house. The only difference is that the name of the game is Criminal Justice. And you will be building knowledge out of theory, practice, and research, not bricks, mortar boards, and cement.
In this course, you will be examining core theories, reviewing best practices and ethical standards, and applying research methodology to "real life" situations. As you make your way through the course, you will begin to synthesize theory and practice, in a way that will support your future endeavors. By the end, you will be ready to wear your "expert" hat in the field of Criminal Justice and begin contributing to the law and order of society.
