During Andrew Carnegie's International Legacy week 2013, an award was given to Dr Vartan Gregorian, President of the Carnegie Corporation of New York to mark his outstanding contribution to the philanthropic world.

A section of Pittencrieff Park in Dunfermline was named ”Vartan’s Way” as part of this recognition of Dr Gregorian. Pitttencrieff Park was gifted to the people of Dunfermline by Andrew Carnegie who was born there.

In this video, Mayor Bloomberg congratulates Dr. Gregorian on his international achievements as the President of the Carnegie Corporation of New York.

The dedication of the path and presentation to Vartan marked the beginning of a week of celebration of Andrew Carnegie’s International Legacy, culminating with the 2013 Andrew Carnegie Medal of Philanthropy.
