In 2012, Canadian Buddhist teacher and activist Michael Stone journeyed to Japan. Filmmaker Ian MacKenzie captured his pilgrimage to learn how to the Japanese were responding to the Fukushima crisis. The short film REACTOR was released in August 2013 to cities and communities around the world.
SESHEN, a dancer/vocalist, created an experimental ritual in collaboration with the film release. This is the story behind the collaboration. May this work be a model for others to follow and integrate emerging forms of activism.
