My name is Julio de la torre and I'm an amateur photographer pursuing a career in documentary photography. I started taking picture when I was six years old. My mom bought me a plastic $.99 camera when I was 6 years old and my world changed after that. When I was in high school, I got serious about it and starting taking photos regularly and photoshoots from time to time. In college I took a photojournalism class where my eyes were opened to the beauty of documentary photography. The ability to document real life experiences, Different cultures and different lifestyles in a way that's unaltered. It true and authentic. I want to open the eyes of others to see that there is beauty everywhere we go and it doesn't fit in the definition of beauty that the media gives us. The Fathers House has invited me to join them as they go to the Dominican Republic to help out at orphanages, children's hospitals and retirement homes. It's an incredible opportunity to document the trip for the missionaries and the culture of the Dominican Republic itself. It's exciting and also scary because I have to take myself out of my comfort zone and into an environment completely different from my own. To do this, I need your help in two different ways. The first is prayer! Please partner with me in prayer for safety and covering over the mission team. The second is financial help. I need to raise $1500 to go on this trip. Any way you could help out would be such a blessing. From either a dollar to ten dollars to even a hundred dollars! It would bless me tremendously! To donate to the cause you can either donate through this page or email firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks again for taking the time to see my page! I really appreciate it!
