Epcot looked amazing in 1997! It still looks good even though it doesn't really look futuristic anymore. In 1997 there was Journey Into Imagination, The Seas, the play fountain, the Fountain of Nations, and the look of Future World at night.
Epcot - Journey Into Imagination -- original ride
The Original ride through of Journey Into Imagination at Epcot. The beginning of the ride is not on here. This was filmed on my 1997 family vacation.
This ride originally ran from 1983--1998. It was then replaced with 2 other versions after this. The second version was called Journey Into Your Imagination and ran from 1999-2001. The third version was called Journey Into Imagination with Figment and ran from 2002 to the present.
Epcot - The Living Seas
The Living Seas opened in 1986 and closed in 2005. It is now known as The Seas with Nemo and Friends.
Epcot - Play Fountain
This fountain is found at Epcot near Universe of Energy, Horizons (now Mission Space), and World of Motion (now Test Track). It is still there but does not work as good as in this video.
In my mind this is one of Epcot's nice details that should always be there. Not only does it cool guests off, it also entertains everyone, even the adults. This is a magical part of Epcot.
Epcot - Fountain
The Epcot fountain in Future World, also known as the Fountain of Nations, goes of every 15 minutes to music. Some of the music is from certain Disney Movies , John Tesh, or Yanni. The fountain show is random every time it goes, so each day it does a different set than the previous day.
Epcot -- Future World at Night
Future World at Epcot looks amazing at night, especially in 1997 because of the Fountain of Nations, the Epcot Ball, and the light up sidewalks. The sidewalks that light up in this video I don't know if they are still there, but they were located to the left of the Epcot ball by the Fountain of Nations.
