Shot on the Canon 5D MKII DSLR Camera over one night - New Years Eve 2009/2010 in Hong Kong, this video is a montage of the images from that night. Filmed near Central, over looking Hong Kong Harbour, it makes use of the 5DMKII's low light capabilities. I used a 50mm f1.4 Canon lens for some of it, while the rest was shot using a 24-105mm zoom. I also shot some RAW stills which I created a fast motion sequence out of for a bit of editing spice.
Lastly I also shot some time-lapse material, which again was intercut for creative reasons. It certainly helps to show how busy Hong Kong really is. These sequences were combined in Mpeg Streamclip before being edited in Final Cut Pro. I didn't Colour Grade any of the footage due to time, so all the images you see here are as they were shot.
I'm not a composer but because of the Copyright issues, I felt the only quick and cheap way to cut to a soundtrack was to Compose a track in Logic. The music you hear was thrown together by me from purchased loop discs. Enjoy.
