This program is the long awaited sequel to the award-winning documentary Broken Rhymes. This documentary chronicles the current activities of the four young men who were highlighted in the original production – their emotional story is recounted by Kate Burton, daughter of the late Richard Burton, who was the narrator in Broken Rhymes. The young men portrayed in this drama have progressed remarkably over the previous five years. However, they still encounter daily problems which they struggle to overcome. Furthermore, the result of having a traumatic head injury doesn’t just affect the patient and his immediate physical recovery. It has a pervasive effect which has complex social, economic and psychological ramifications. This documentary aims to foster a deeper understanding of the need both to society and to the individuals and their families of establishing independence for these victims of head trauma. Winner of several national awards in New York and Chicago and most notably the Barbara Jordan Award.
