Soft & Silky project is an interactive installation in which users are invited to engage, through motion and touch, with the tactile interaction between the digital interface and other users. In collaboration with Hugues Bruyere, we developed this installation base on a simple, inexpensive, and scalable setup/technique that enable a range of movement from multi-touch to full body sensing on a double sided interactive surface.
This reactive membrane encouraged the user to apply their existing range of motions to an environment that reacts to them and applies the ideas of performative surface in which the user is conscious of his interconnection with others.

A special thanks to Ryan Alexander who, like many good coders, open his code (the blobs) and allow its reinterpretation into various creative forms. Good work! Go watch his website: onecm.com/sketches/exhaust/
