As many of you are aware, the Los Angeles City Council unanimously passed an ordinance with a vote of 14-0 to ban the use of electronic cigarettes in many public venues. This includes parks, beaches, bars, and outdoor dining areas. Although this may be frustrating news for vapers, we have to consider what this means for our industry as a whole. If this ordinance is signed into law by Mayor Garcetti, the long-term implications stand to negatively impact how vaping is perceived, as well as the e-cigarette industry’s longevity as a whole.
Each and every member of the vaping community, whether an individual or business, has helped this industry grow by promoting the positive aspects of electronic cigarettes. We know that vaping is a better alternative to traditional cigarettes, however Mayor Garcetti’s signature on this ordinance could influence non-vapers to think otherwise.
Regardless of what shop you prefer, what juice brand you promote, or what hardware you use, you’re still a vaper. ‘Save Vape LA’ will provided a platform for vapers to unite as one collective voice, showing local and global politicians that we’re proud to be vapers and e-cigarettes are here to stay. We made this industry, now let’s defend it!
