Photographer Irina Rozovsky’s personal projects have taken her to Israel, Cuba, her native Russia, and corners of her adopted hometown of New York City. Her painterly palette and her deep sense of warmth and empathy infuse her subjects with light and poetry lifting them far away from the cliches of ordinary life. Her monograph “One to Nothing” (Kehrer Verlag) was included as one of the top 20 photo books of 2011 by Alec Soth in his year-end review.
Her talk is part of the i3: Images, Ideas, Inspiration lecture series, which features presentations by digital photographers, hardware and software developers and industry experts. Presented by the MPS Digital Photography Department sva.edu/digitalphoto
