Preview of my Bro Bowl Documentary.
The Bro Bowl is one of the last remaining public skate parks of the 1970s that still stands.
The Federal government has given the city of Tampa $6 million to renovate Central Avenue. This is to honor history of the African Americans who lived there and had the land stripped away from them.
The Bro Bowl sits in the middle of these renovations and the black community of Central Avenue wants to tear it down and replace it with a bigger, and more high tech skate park.
The Bro Bowl has just been selected into the National Register of Historic Places. A decision will have to be made soon or the City of Tampa will lose the funding from the federal government.
