A Chinese antique collector has turned porcelain into a new form of decorative expression in architecture.
52-year-old Zhang Lianzhi from Tianjin province has devoted four years of his time to remodeling a 100-year-old building with countless millions of ancient porcelain fragments. And he has named it the "Porcelain House". These antique porcelains are part of the collection Zhang has made over the past two decades. The exterior wall of the house is covered with a variety of porcelain pieces such as plates, vases and figurines. Now the house is the most eye-catching building in the neighborhood and one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions.
