'Dying Not to Be' is an 8-minute monologue written and performed by Australian artist Inez de Vega. It is a black comedy on the complexities of committing suicide, created during the artist's residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. Its visual references derive from classical paintings, the representations of anxious and dislocated women in cinema, and the photographs of Cindy Sherman in 'Untitled Film Stills' (1977-1980). The clip shown here is a 3-minute excerpt only. inezdevega.blogspot.com.au/
