If you are putting your house on the market, you may want to clean the prescription drugs out of your medicine cabinets. Addicts are now posing as buyers at open houses to raid medicine cabinets of prescription drugs.
To address this issue, the Sheriff's Department partnered with the Safe Homes Coalition, Mental Health Systems, Prescription Drug Task Force and the D.A.'s Office and launched a video campaign to stop prescription drug abuse and misuse. The goal is to inform the public and realtors about prescription drug thefts at open houses.
