Anna Chan:
With the Human Rights Torch Relay coming to New York on Sunday, we dropped in on the Rev. Harold Daughtry. Daughtry part of a coalition of African-American religious leaders who want to hold China accountable for its human rights violations. The group is especially focused on ending China's tacit support of the Darfur "genocide".

[Rev. Dr. Herbert Daughtry, Pastor]
"Our organization, the National Religious Leaders of African Ancestry, believe that the Olympic Games should not proceed as long as the Chinese government is guilty of human rights violations in China ad supportive of government which are reportedly engaged with other government in genocidal practices."

Rev. Dautry's group supports a boycott of the Beijing Olympics on principle.

[Rev. Dr. Herbert Daughtry, Pastor]
"It is just inconceivable to us that people can go to a country to throw javelins and run up and down hillsides and ski and throw balls and play games in a place which is supporting the destruction of human beings -- that's like dancing on someone's grave.

The reverend will be joined on Sunday by a diverse coalition supporting the Human Rights Torch Relay. It includes Tibetans, Christians, Falun Gong practitioners,
and local politicians. The meeting will start at 11 am at Union Square and will last untill 6 pm.
