The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc. (ABC) embarked on redesigning the website in 2013 and as we were nearing completion in early 2014, we wanted a creative way to announce the enhanced user functionality and new features of the new site.
Knowing the traits and habits of our audience, non office workers and not necessarily daily computer users, we wanted something that would be short, include the basic information we wanted them to understand and be entertaining enough to hold their attention. We determined that a video would best fit that bill and decided that animation would best express our message.
They have the video on our home page as the first image that appears when you hit the site and we also emailed it to all of our certifees, facility owners, trade publications and related organizations. They also posted the video on Facebook, LinkedIn as well as a link on Twitter.
