The Archdiocesan Annual Appeal (AAA) is an outgrowth of the annual Catholic Charities Appeal (CCA) that was begun by the late Bishop Apollinaris Baumgartner, OFM Cap, D.D. on February 22, 1953 for the purpose of raising funds for priestly formation and continuing education. While Fr. Felixberto Camacho Flores (later first Archbishop of Agana) was the first priest Bishop Baumgartner ordained in 1949, the first ordained to be supported by CCA was Fr. Zoilo Camacho (later Msgr. Zoilo). CCA has supported the formation of all our diocesan priests for the past 61 years.
