This is a project I worked on for Cine class. Shot in one night, 3 hours. Here is the outline of what we were required to do:
CINE 1A ASSIGNMENT
Arriflex SR II w/zoom lens
Grey Card Plus
2 Grip Stands
1 Medium Flag & Net Kit
5 AC cables
200 feet of 16mm film
Studio set in either 115 or 130
This exercise is NOT intended as a crew based production. Students CANNOT use assistants and extra crew members. While you may bring a reasonable amount of material to dress the set be careful not to get carried away with set dressing and design.
If working in the Studio you can use the lights that are available on the floor.
You CANNOT use locations on campus to use as lighting set ups.
Students will work in pairs. The intent of the exercise is to allow BOTH students an opportunity to shoot each other.
Each student will work with 100' of 16 mm film which will be processed and transferred to HD video.
Two characters engage with each other in a variety of setups.however they are never in the same shot together. The idea is to tell a visual story with no dialouge.
Bonus marks will be given for doing an edit of the material - once again students are responsible for arranging their own edit. You will not be able to sign out
