Inspired by Evan's relative lonliness as a weekday winter rush hour cyclist beyond the boundary(bubble) of Boulder-League of American Bicyclists platinmum city. On a chance work-less wednesday he was able to pedal away from the prarie into Boulder and see how winter bike to work day is celebrated with others.
Historically Evan has been most comfortable with infrequently producing an action and/or nature film, and is intimidated by the challenge of effectively planning and directing human dialogue into his films. This will be the first in a series of 12 monthly short films to be made by Evan. The topic of each month's film will rotate through three genre's: Life, Work, Skiing. This project was intended to be challenging and educational with occasional opportunity to default back to the comfy classics. If He is really challenging himself, viewer satisfaction will also be challenged.
Over time, Evan hopes the monthly deadlines will push his comfort zone, encourage adaptation, and foster increased skills in making films. Often, Evan will be the director, cast, film crew, editor, and producer. Don't be surprised if the 12 films tend to radiate outward from Evan's experiences. Evan looks forward to Jan 2011, when he can kick back, watch, and learn from his filming challenges in 2010. He also looks forward to not be typing in the third person.
