Crumble was selected as a finalist entry for the 2013 IndieCade East Sony PlayStation®Mobile Game Jam. The game imagines the theme of evolution as an abstract adventure in which the player is re-shaped by the environment.
Gameplay consists of guiding a central core surrounded by a particulate body through a maze of invisible obstacles. On contact these obstacles dislodge particles from the player body, which "illuminate" the treacherous path as they rise. Other visible obstacles release green "life" pellets on contact with the player. The over all experience is at once slow, twitch-based and disorienting.
