Nathan Harvey, Media Arts & Studies major at Ohio University, created a social commentary documentary about OU's overpriced laundry services. With prices to do a full load of laundry higher than the majority of the state and poorly functioning machines, students in Athens are forced to shell out extensive amounts a semester for an essential, weekly need.
On March 15, 2014, Nathan was contacted by a representative of the manufacturing company that produces the machines for the university and asked to take his video down from Youtube (where it was originally posted). The representative tried to silence him by providing a money compensation, but attention to this issue is spreading like wildfire, and we need your help.
Please watch, comment, and share this video across all social media platforms to raise awareness on this issue. Problems like this are likely occurring all over the state and nation, and with enough attention, we hope to work out a consensus with the organization and the university to better the standards of this issue for future years to come.
