In the first race, Balooshi crossed the checkered flag with a gap of 49.179 ahead of Ryan Blair who crossed the line in second place.
'It was a good start , I got the holeshoot and stayed in the front all the time but too much pressure and I was not riding good, too cautions. I won the race but I am not happy with my riding and I have to do some changes in my KTM for the Moto2. ' Balooshi said after Moto 1.
The second classified in the E2 category was Saeed Al Shenqiti also from UAE and Moaath Al Ansari from Kuwait.
'I would like to thank to QMMF for this event and for their support. As previous rounds, it was a nice track design with a good battle with Balooshi and Jaffar. I started second and I managed to get my rithm throughout the race and finished second.' Saeed stated after Moto1.
Regarding the E1 category, the winner was Ryan Blair from Great Britain riding a KTM bike. Even Ryan didn't had a good start and this was his first participation in the QIE, he managed to win in his category .
'The race from the start was difficult for me as I had a crash in the second lap so sand started to get into my googles and I decided to take them off, so my eyes were very sore, but I am happy that I managed to do some passes and finish first in my class. It is my first participation in the Enduro and it is more difficult that I realized , I am used to the sand but this track is really difficult, but it is challenging and I love it and definetly I will be back.' Blair said after race 1.
The Kuwaiti riders Mohammed Jaffar and Barak Al Jasmi finished second and third place respectively in the E1 category.
In the second race, Balooshi took the lead again from the start of the race and crossed the line in first place as before, but this time with a minor gap, 5.756, ahead his team mate Mohammed Jaffar.
'I am more happy with my riding in the Moto 2. I got the start and then just control the race and this is a good feeling. I like to do this, play cat and mouse with the riders behind me, first with Ryan and Saeed and then with Jaffar and then just keep my rithm, ride smart, no mistakes and just reach the checkered flag first. In Moto 1 even I won I was not happy, but changed the bike for Moto2 and I feel better riding it now. This is a good feeling, I like winnning but enjoying , if you don't enjoy and have a good feeling on the bike is not good.' Balooshi said after Moto2.
The second position in the podium for E2 was again for Saeed Al Shenqiti and this time the third place was for Sultan Al Balooshi also from UAE.
In the E1 cateogry, the winner of the second race was Mohammed Jaffar.
'Today the races were really tought. In the first race I crashed in the fourth lap and I got injured in my ribs, but in the second race, I felt better. Even in the second race I didn't had a really good start as I had to pull until reach Ryan, I passed him and became first in the E1 so I stayed behind my coach Balooshi, but it was eally difficult to keep it behind but I am happy for the win. Thanks to my team Balooshi Racing Team and Quarter Mile Club in Kuwati' Jaffar said after both races.
Ryan Blair and Abdullah Al Shatti were second and third respectively in the E1 category.
Mr. Nasser Khalifa Al Attiya, QMMF President and LIC General Manager thanked to all the participants, organization, stewards and all the team behind the race for a succesful event and he was happy that all went good with no major incidents 'All participants and teams are very happy, and this is part of what QMMF is focus on, to give good treatment and good facilities to the competitiors to enjoy our terrain. We have a very beautiful terrain with dunes next to the seaside. The race is difficult with hard terrain, so this is a combination we have here and we let the riders to enjoy and practice for more races in the future. I am sure they are getting now more fit after every race. Today we had a a good number of participants, more than 30, for sure we are willing to increase and reach 50 riders in one event and I think we are in the good process.' Mr Nasse Khalifa said after the event.
In the Quads category, the podiums were the same in both races. The winner was Fahad Al Musallam from Kuwait and the second place was for Mohammed Al Khulaifi. The Qatari rider Adel ABdulla Hussein finished third.
