This is my submission for the second round of the Search For A Star competition 2014. In this round, we had to fix a broken build and then add functionality to it. After fixing the build, I found that we were provided with an application that could move between 3 scenes and already created the grid of random shapes. It also highlighted shapes when they were clicked on and doing so increased your score.
I changed this so that your score is based on how many of the items of the same shape you can string together, and it has to be at least 3. Selecting another shape will break the combination. The more that are stringed together, the more points that are added to the score. There is also a highscore that is saved out when you beat it and loaded in at the start for comparisons.
I tried to get the video to record the mouse so it's a little clearer but unfortunately that didn't happen.
We were given a week to do this but given I've 7 other projects I'm balancing, I was only really able to work on this over the weekend. However for the 15 or so hours I was able to work on this, I'm happy with the results, especially given that this was developed in Marmalade SDK.
