Just wanted to share this very rough exercise that demonstrates the different qualities that wide (greater depth of field, distortion of angles) vs. long lenses (compression of foreground and background, shallower depth of field) can impart on the feel of a project. Disregard the audio, this was a fast sketch to explore the qualities of the two styles.
Example one is all wide lenses example two is all long lenses, matched take for take.
Shot on a Canon XH-A1 at 60i, then used 3:2 pulldown using Magic Bullet Frames in After Effects. Slightly color corrected using Magic Bullet Mojo. Hope this helps.
