Thanks to everyone who watched and LIKED this video to help Ollie win the first ever Project Zero video contest!! I submitted this video on behalf of my son Oliver who just turned 9 years old. He has been skiing for seven years and started doing some light ski-touring two years ago. We hope this video shows people that the sidecountry needs the exact same kind of safety preparations as the backcountry. Avalanches don't need to be big to be dangerous, so when the avalanche conditions are telling you that the snow is loaded with risks... you need to stay safe with your terrain choices. If you can't find any backcountry terrain that manages the risk to within your risk tolerance level, today is NOT the day. Go ride a resort where there are dozens of trained professionals taking care of the snow safety issue on a daily basis. The backcountry will be there tomorrow; make sure you are too! Thanks for watching.
