If a judge needs to make a decision about a divisive aspect of your divorce, it will have to go to trial.
There are only two ways to get divorced in Texas. Either you reach an agreement, or a judge makes a decision for you, which requires taking the question to trial.
Divorce trials can be very complicated, and it may take several days. It can also be as simple as needing the judge to resolve one issue or it might require a ruling on every aspect of the divorce.
Often, the one thing couples cannot agree on is their child or children. Property issues are usually resolved relatively easily by the couple, but child custody and visitation issues are often where the parties cannot agree.
