Based on a true story.
One year before his assassination started World War I, Archduke Franz Ferdinand was nearly whilst at a shooting party at an English country house. One of the loaders slipped and fired both barrels of a shotgun, narrowly missing the Archduke.
This film imagines how that loader may have felt if just a few months later he found himself in the trenches, about to face his death. It asks whether it is possible for someone to be too lucky.
