This presentation by Anne Ryan, Executive Director, Read to Succeed Buffalo describes their partnership with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, and support from various Literacy Coalition agencies including the Rotary Club of Buffalo, NY. Dolly Parton's Imagination Library provides each registered child from the ages of newborn to five years old, with a new book shippped to their home each month. The mailing has their name on it and provides them with a book they can call their own which parents and family members can read to them and with them. Studies prove that children that are read to develop greater cognitive skills to prepare them for kindergarten and beyond.
