Hype is an application which uses the accelerometer in your smart phone and translates that information into usable data for concerts, artists, show promoters, venues, festivals and more.
By tapping the accelerometer data, your phone can give real time feedback while you are at a concert or show and provide numerically how "hyped" the concert or crowd was.
This data can be used in a number of innovating ways. For instance hype can be used to deepen the interaction between artist and audience. For example if the crowd gets "hyped" enough it can trigger specific lights and visuals or allow the audience members to compete against each other for who was more hyped at the show.
The information can also be used to help organize large venues and festivals and show a virtual heat map of where in the festival or venue is more active. The implications with hype are enormous.
