Tutorial supplement to the article in the spring 2014 edition of Amateur Astronomy Magazine. It deals with creating layer masks to maximize data from short and long exposures of astronomical targets with a large dynamic range. In this session, I am combining a stack of 20 second exposures with a stack of 4 minute exposures to maximize the detail in the core and the outer regions of nebulosity.
