We produced this video for the Southampton Safe City Partnership, which wanted to explain the work it does within the city to help residents & keep them safe over a 24 hour period.
The commissioning officer for Southampton City Council wanted to create something that would not simply lay out the work the partnership does but that would also deliver a visually engaging piece with a positive slant.
We quickly decided to develop a script that would offer advice on what people could do themselves to make a difference, rather than warning about behaviours or situations that could put them at risk. This led to the overall creative treatment for the video, which was to present all aspects of public safety in a matter of fact & very positive way, while delivering a visually appealing view of the city.
The result was a public information film that looks more like a tourism promo and we received many comments that the film "made you want to live there", which while not the brief, was certainly an added bonus.
