Towards the end of 2013, I worked with Innovid, an interactive and immersive video advertising company based in NYC, on a 60 second video for their 2013 year in review.
I was sent a script and given assets (logos etc.) to work with, but a large part of the creative direction was left up to me. As the Innovid logo includes some nice colors in a gradient from red through to blue, I decided to use these as the background colors in the video. I also used Trapcode Mir to add some nice moving graphics to the background, and I added some light leaks to the foreground too.
There was some important information to get across in the video so I tried to keep the animations fairly short and simple so as to leave as much time as possible for the text to be read by the viewer. For the music, I searched through a number of options on a stock music website and found this track which Innovid really loved.
Innovid loved the video and were very pleased with the outcome. I really enjoyed working with them, and I am excited to work with them again in the future.
