‘Even In The Light’ (Hasta en la Luz)

As a team with the DP Mariana Saldívar we chose to go 16mm from the very beginning for the film ‘Hasta en la Luz’

We wanted to capture the inner world of Sofia a 9 year old non binary kid and film gave us that edge we were looking for to create the ideal feeling of anxiety; the grain and texture of 500T/7219 gave that grain, the gritty and texture we were looking for to the pictures.

The shoot was very intentional. We had 6 cans of 11min, each take, each foot of Film accounted for.
