This video is my second digital response to this years #Picbod assignment and shows my installation and the #Picbod2014 exhibition that took place in Althorpe Gallery, Leamington Spa, between the 7th-9th March.
My idea was inspired by my Week 3 Nude vs Naked response. This piece of work consists of six images that have been created in order to explore and challenge the idea behind voyeurism within nude photographs.
Photographing each of my subjects in a natural environment, showing a mundane and everyday position, allows the images to elicit a sense of reverse voyeurism and challenges the stereotypical voyeuristic feel of a nude image.
Interested in structure, with my newly realized graphic eye, these images show a contrast in the strong structures of the environment and the soft bodily form that show influence from the work of artist Edward Hopper.
