The Scottish Cultural Evidence Network (SCENe) warmly invites you to join us for a research seminar to explore this theme. We have confirmed three speakers who each take a different perspective on this challenge -
Nick Merriman, Director of The Manchester Museum is leading on an ACE funded Quality Metrics Pilot which is exploring the possibility of a sector-led metrics framework to capture the quality and reach of arts and cultural productions.
Charlotte Gilmore, Chancellor Fellow at the University of Edinburgh will discuss her current research on Examining Cultural Value within contemporary Music Ensemble. A project which looks at perceptions and responses to the work of Red Note Ensemble and Saphha.
· Sian Jones, Professor of Archaeology at the University of Manchester, has carried out a wide range of research on cultural heritage. She will be discussing her recent AHRC Cultural Value project called ‘Valuing the Historic Environment: a critical review of approaches to social value’.
