Billed as the greenest commercial building in the world, the Bullitt Center in Seattle brings together energy and water efficient technologies, sustainable materials, and continuous monitoring of building systems to create a showcase for urban sustainability; and it’s a working office building as well.
Allan Montpellier, associate principal with PAE Consulting Engineers, the building’s engineering firm, will discuss some of the energy efficient aspects of the Bullitt Center, including ground-source heat pumps, passive heat recovery, regenerative elevator, passive ventilation, a living “skin”, and a dashboard to support tenants’ efficiency behavior. A question and answer session follows the presentation.
