This is a play-through of the Marmoset Skyshop demo that we presented at GDC 2014. The snow scene demonstrates our most recent work and research in reflection probes, box projected cube mapping, and the management of multiple skies in a scene.
Some art was donated and much of it is directly from the Unity Asset Store, converted to Marmoset shaders and lit by Marmoset Skyshop. The scene itself is marked up with HDR sky probes and box volumes that define their areas of influence. The probe images are pre-processed into diffuse and specular light data, distorted for parallax (box projection) and blended between as objects move through the trigger volumes.
