Davey James is a London-based Americana/blues/folk singer-songwriter. We met in South London on a cold rainy evening, finding shelter in a friend's basement. We drank some wine and Davey sang a couple of songs for us.

Although he was born and raised in England, Davey's music seems to be influenced mostly by the blues, folk and country American tradition. Among his favourite musicians he lists Townes Van Zandt, Steve and Justin Townes Earle as well as some of the great Mississippi Delta bluesmen. He's currently working on the recording of some new songs with the support of a full band and in the meantime you can download his EP Songs & Letters from Hit Ray Records website:

Very special thanks to Louis Lincoln-Bottcher at Hit Ray Records for mixing and mastering the recording, London Sessions Productions and fellow filmmaker Farida Saydo Mimi for their support.
