Make magazine had an article on how to make a PVC helmet mounted swivel-cam for a GoPro. Being I have no fear of PVC or of looking stupid, I stole my kid's bike helmet and went to town. I took it to a local action pistol practice session to see how it would work. I'm not convinced the benefit outweighs the dork factor. The boom method for filming seems to work just was well, but you need a cameraman. But at least no one will call you "Sprinklerhead" when you show up at the range.
