whose late father Ulrich was the man who put Europes steepest vineyard the "Bremmer Calmont" back on the wine map recultivating some of the most mind blowing slopes you might have seen
Picnic lunch in the middle of these crazy vineyards
In the afternoon visit one of the best organic producers: Thorsten Melsheimer in Reil
who is one of the most passionate winemakers and Bergretters (
From there we made our way to Axel Pauly in Lieser
He's one of the up and coming producers of the region.
Then back at Staffelter Hof for the ‪#‎winelover‬ Dinner party that starts at 7:30pm
On Friday morning we took a walk through the Kröv vineyards where we taste some wines from young local producers
For lunch at the Art Deco Capital of the Mosel Traben-Trarbach and eat at the beautiful Hotel Bellevue
Afterwards we met winemaker Martin Müllen the man who makes arguably the best-aging Rieslings in the valley. he showed us his unusual ways of winemaking and some of his fantastic older vintages.
