When we were first given the task to create a work that inspires change, I wanted my project to send a message about something positive. While I was in my art room, the idea of creativity just “popped, like that, to me”. I noticed that people seem so lazy about creating artwork because they are afraid that their creations might not be as amazing as other artists’. Looking at my past, I experienced rejection. I assume that rejection is the reason why people have become so unmotivated. I decided on the concept of: inspiring others to believe in their creativity and ideas, despite negative criticism. I felt that I wanted to motivate others, because that’s what gave me the drive and momentum to make my ideas a reality. The stop-motion animation process was challenging and required much patience. It was not until the end, that I felt the sense of astonishment as I saw my story come to life.
