This is the first time we've been able to work in teams on a "proper" visual effects project, at uni. We were supplied with the backplate and the brief was to composite a CG render seamlessly into it.

My role was the compositing process from start to finish in Nuke. This included AOV pass compositing (after getting my hands dirty with the incredible Arnold renderer), colour correction and grading etc. I also modelled and textured the shopping trolley.

I learnt so much over the course of this project; from team skills and role management to the entire compositing project. Before starting, I had virtually no knowledge of The Foundry's Nuke at all. However I'm starting to learn and translate my previous experience and skill into this node-based workflow. Really, really interesting stuff and I can't wait to do more!
