The intense headache that left over from last party, cool down the nerve and threw me to a reflexive state. I decide to take a look over Bogotá, that immense capital of Colombia, where the whole population can fit in (10.000.000 persons). I feel the change in the scale when, taken by the hands of Javier and Adriana, i climb to the Cerro of Monserrate (3720m), and from there look 500m down and can feel how huge is it. I lost the breath and imagination bursts out. Javier points out Plaza Bolivar, and i fall in love with that adventurer of life that freed half of America from the Spanish rule. The other half was conquered by the argentinian José Martin, whom i had the chance to "meet", a few years ago in Buenos Aires, by the hand of a fantastic taxi driver. The life of these two make me sure that the true dimension of a person can only be understood when life is over. Before that, it is always incomplete and the further steps are continuously and sucessively changing all of its meaning.
I move down the 500m and walk full of pleasure into the old town (Candelária), blown by the sound of a Colombian Jazz (Jazz Gitano) that i had the chance to listen, here in Bogotá. The music get in through my ears directly to the heart. Instintively the heart gives it to the soul. I look into the life that slides in front of my eyes, and an idea that was always in my soul just start coming up: Life is a constant nomading. Physical and spiritual. Finally calm, i fall asleep in peace.
See you next week.
