My Father was recently hospitalized with a brain aneurism. He has overcome every hurdle in his path. His next hurdle is to remain calm and keep his blood pressure down. When he starts telling stories or getting emotional his blood pressure shoots up. My father discovered his "zen place" is his basement where he turns wood. His lathe is his place of calm. The second he imagines the sound of the lathe starting up and the feeling of the wood his heart rate instantly goes down. Its absolutely amazing.
I felt the need to try to capture the feeling of calm in his workshop.
