This is a simple video that visualizes earthquake data retrieved from the US Geological Survey website.

The project is more appropriately viewed as a live application with current data. I just made this to show some people what I had made in Processing.

This project was initially inspired by Project 8 from the book "Processing 2: Creative Coding" by Nikolaus Gradwohl. I went on a major tangent and this was the result. The application uses a framework I created that can visualize any kind of data that provides latitude and longitude information. In this video, the color of each pin is linked to the significance of the event, as defined by the USGS data.

EDIT: I found this: developers.google.com/maps/tutorials/visualizing/earthquakes which would be way better than what I built. But that's ok because I built this to learn something about Processing, not to build the greatest map.
