If you're in marketing or business or a student of them like I am, you know how powerful word of mouth is. You know how fast word of mouth travels. You know how much word of mouth can make - or, break - a company and its brand.
With new emerging technologies and the ever growing use of the Internet worldwide, it's all about 'Word of Mouse' now. Consumers going online and sharing their experiences with companies around the world. Word of mouse can travel the world in a split second and run laps around 'word of mouth'.
Adopting the new tools and understanding the breadth of word of mouse is very important in the new business landscape. Remember how fast the YouTube video of Dominos pizza went viral? Exactly.
