12 days, 300 welds, 2000 pounds.
Fire X is a firepit that reflects heat and light to create a warm and inviting public gathering space.
This project is a permanent installation in the shared courtyard between the Stanford Product Design Loft and the Product Realization Lab. Fire X was conceived for a project called "Personal Statements" for the second year design students.
The entire design and build - from sourcing materials to lighting a fire - took place in two weeks. Two sleepless weeks of welding.
