Sir Paul Smith's deftness for modernising sartorial classics shines bright in the London collection where each season, suits and formal outerwear are given the Paul Smith treatment. In partnership with The Woolmark Company and in support of Merino wool, Sir Paul Smith will celebrate the versatility and quality of wool in premium tailored pieces for the London collection. From dark to light, basic suits in all kinds of colours will meet your every need, whilst pure cotton shirts have been redesigned to represent traditional stripes, florals, plaids, dots, paisleys and geometric elements.
For spring/summer 14 the Paul Smith London collection will focus on the use of Cool Wool. Seven worsted Cool Wool fabrics woven by leading European mills have been selected for the collection. Cool Wool fabrics are made from fine Australian Merino wool fashioned into lightweight fabrics through modern manufacturing and processing techniques. Merino wool is the natural fibre of choice for a spring/summer 14 collection due to its natural breathability, softness, drape, moisture absorption.
The roll out of Cool Wool at retailers in China, Japan, Korea and Europe follows the collaboration announcement at the end of last year and Sir Paul Smith’s ambassadorial role with The Woolmark Company supporting Merino wool for both Spring Summer and Autumn Winter collections.
Sir Paul Smith said “The Far East has always been very good for me we now have 265 shops in Japan but we are also selling and have shops in Korea, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand".
