Dot Clock uses projection mapping software to cast the time onto any surface. Hours and minutes are numbers but seconds are represented as moving dots. All three components are projected onto a different plane.
The dots appear sequentially every second with large spaces between them along the wall. This creates a temporal perceptual illusion called the Kappa Effect which makes a second seem longer than it actually is. In this way, the project aims to put a clock into unused space, as well as playing with our perceptions of time.
